We began doing aerial photography in 1966, as a part of our full-service photography studio, White’s Photography in . With the advent of drones I quickly became licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) and bought a drone. I am also licensed to fly fixed-wing aircraft.
My wife and I married in June, 1966, and we still work together every day.
We use drones, airplanes and helicopters to make aerial still and video images of real estate, commercial operations, construction progress, legal verifications, weddings, property and equipment inspections and for most other purposes.
We have wide-area authorizations from the FAA and are routinely granted waivers and authorizations to fly in areas that are normally prohibited, such as near and even on airports. Once, we were even granted permission by the Pentagon to make a low-level flight over Dyess Air Force Base and make photographs for a legal case!
For many years I have taught photography to amateurs, professionals and aspiring professionals. I teach several Basic Photography classes each year , as well as Lightroom, Photoshop, Portraiture and other classes – both in groups and one-on-one.
